If you are looking for a different destination in Mexico other than Cancun or Puerto Vallarta, perhaps Cabo is for you. Los Cabos is located at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. It borders the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. There are many beaches by the resorts that are not swimmable due to the extremely strong undertow. However, there are still beaches where you can enjoy the beach. And a select few resorts have swimmable beaches.
There are 3 distinct hotel areas in Los Cabos: Cabo San Lucas (downtown near many popular bars and marina), the Corridor (an 18-mile stretch between the two cities), and San Jose del Cabo (more sophisticated shopping and galleries). Whether you like quiet, tranquil, spa-like resorts, or ultra-modern, trendy hotels, or family friendly, active vacations, there is something for everyone in Cabo.
A group of agents from Red Travel recently went on site inspections to nine resorts around Los Cabos over a period of 3 days. We tour resorts, meet the staff, sample the food, and view the different resort categories. This allows us to familiarize ourselves with the product so we can better match our clients to the right resort for them. Each resort offers something different to meet the needs of the varied clientele. While some resorts are more lively, others catered to a more laid-back ambiance. Decor varied widely from ultra modern to the more authentic hacienda styles. Location and beach access is also very important in choosing a resort in Cabo. And let's not forget the variety of food options as well.
